Actual transactions including trading in goods and services, in foreign exchange, in financial assets and liabilities made among countries will be explained. Objectives and instruments of international trade policies are discussed. Theoretical back ground of international trade is provided.

Academic terminologies are in practical use in the area. Based on through understanding of the technical and nontechnical words related to international transactions of various commodities, aim is placed on forming your own opinions, and point of views about international relationship among countries connected by mutual benefits.　Based on the knowledges provided during the course, it is assumed for participating students to get abilities to analyze ecojnhomic and political problems related to international trades. The fundamental knowledges of why and how international trades take place, and the ability to discuss the policy problems that various countries are involved is obtained through attending this course.

Review of the class materials and handouts will be helpful to have good understanding of the contents of the course. Two hours of study would be necessary in a week, on average to prepare for each class of this course.

Exams not done during regular exam period.　

Attendance 10%, two quizes will be given for 10% each. Participation to discussions 5%, trem paper 65%. Answers to a quize will be presented right after the test.

No prerequisite knowledges are required for this course. But need to be interested in international economic affairs.
