In doing so, we compare countries from a variety of macro-economic statistics such as national accounts, balance of payments statistics and other multilateral data. In addition, we will identify achievements of the globalization of economies such as free trade and economic partnership agreements as well as economic and currency integration while discussing its negative aspects such as the world-wide contagions of currency and financial crises as well as widening gaps between rich and poor.
